Taylor Hill's Honeymoon Details
If you've been following Taylor Hill and Daniel Fryer's love story, you'll know that they got engaged in Italy in 2021 and later hosted their wedding on a bucolic ranch in Colorado. Both Hill and Fryer are frequent fliers, so when it came time to pick a honeymoon destination, they wanted to explore somewhere new. "I've been fortunate enough that my career has taken me to so many special places around the world," Hill explains.
And, as it turns out, her best honeymoon planning tip is one all couples should hear—especially for those having trouble landing on the perfect location. "Since we started talking about the honeymoon, my husband and I started adding all of our favorite destinations in our shared Notes app," she adds. "We were both able to contribute ideas for places, activities and marking our 'must see' or 'must do' places. It was a really collaborative planning experience which makes it even more special."
That collaborative effort helped them nail down the perfect trip that seamlessly blended recreation and rest. "We created an itinerary around various parts of Asia," Hill says. "Every destination has been so beautiful and luxurious. We wanted to visit places that allow us to have a good balance of relaxation while also having a ton of things to do and places to see."
One look at her Instagram feed shows off everything the couple has been up to, from lavish dinners in Bangkok to beach days in Malaysia. But, for Hill, her best memory has been something much more sentimental. "So far, my favorite part was our first breakfast," she explains. "There's something so special about waking up with your favorite person, throwing on an outfit and then enjoying a delicious breakfast featuring foods from the country you are about to explore."
Of course, we couldn't not ask about the top essential on her honeymoon packing list—and it's a far cry from packing cubes or travel pillows. "I need everything moisturizing," she shares. "Traveling is so dehydrating, so ensuring you have extra moisturizing products will help you feel better and look glowier in the pictures you're going to have forever. I always bring moisturizer for my face, under eyes, hands and body in my carry-on bag so I can get ahead of it on the plane."
This commitment to skincare inspired Hill's new collaboration with Cadence, a TSA-approved travel capsule that's leakproof, magnetic and customizable. As a longtime fan of the brand, the model partnered with them to create "The Taylor Hill Collection," a set of six capsules inspired by her own honeymoon. "When I came across the brand, it was just something I knew I needed in my life," Hill says of her affinity for the company. "It's the best organizational system that is perfect for all the travel I do."
From locking in oily serums to shampoo, conditioner and essential vitamins, Hill believes this is one packing product all honeymooners need. The best part? It's available to buy now. "I wanted to make sure I had all my necessities accessible and easily transported for the entire trip," she shares. "I had so much fun with it!"
Taylor Hill's Wedding Photos & Details
Taylor Hill married Daniel Fryer on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Devil's Thumb Ranch in Winter Park, Colorado. She shared the happy news on Instagram three days later, writing, "June 10th I got to married to the love of my life and my best friend in my hometown, it was a magical fairytale and my dream wedding."
The picturesque setting was a nostalgic choice for the former Victoria's Secret angel, as it's where Hill was raised before she embarked on her modeling career in 2011. In fact, the beloved couple wed on a ranch in her home state where Hill was discovered by a photographer as she rode horses with her family.
Speaking to Vogue about her nuptials, the bride said, "I just kind of wanted the whole thing to feel really relaxed because we're in my hometown. I wanted this element of feeling like you were constantly at somebody's home."
The Western chic soirée kicked off with a welcome party at a nearby ranch, followed by the ceremony the next day. Although a sprinkling of rain passed through the mountains during the vow exchange, the bride told the outlet it didn't dampen the experience. "Before the ceremony, I was extremely nervous and also so excited at the same time," she said. "But once I walked out onto the aisle and saw Danny for the first time a sense of complete calm washed over me, and it was like nothing else mattered. He was all I could see, and it was such a special beautiful moment we got to share with all the people we love."
Taylor Hill's Wedding Dress Details
For her wedding day, set against the rural backdrop of the American West, Taylor Hill opted for a custom off-the-shoulder Etro wedding dress. The ivory gown was the first of its kind, as it marked the brand's foray into bridal. "This is [actually] the first wedding dress that Etro has ever made!" Hill told Vogue. "Marco [de Vincenzo] is an amazing designer and I love where he is taking the brand, creatively."
The decision to work with Etro's creative director Marco de Vincenzo on her wedding dress was a fitting choice for the bride, given her decade-long relationship with the Italian fashion house. "When they sent me the sketches of it, I was like, 'It's like you're in my head,'" she reminisced. "My favorite part of the dress is probably the top and the sleeves. It gives it the element of romance that I was looking for."
The airy and romantic design, which featured a satin stripe around the waist and a tiered skirt, was incredibly apropos for the couple's bucolic venue. "You saw my vision and created something more beautiful than I ever could've imagined and this dress felt so me, especially since I wanted to get married barefoot because I believe it makes me feel grounded and I wanted to be connected to the earth that I'm from," she wrote of de Vincenzo on Instagram.
Throughout the wedding weekend, the bride also donned a sheer lace suit and a white lace gown, while her husband sported an array of cowboy hats—a fitting accessory given the rustic setting.
