The Best Time of The Year to Propose in Utah
Considering that Utah's weather is a dry, semi-arid and desert climate, you might want to propose during cooler months when the heat isn't as intense.
"I would recommend fall or winter," says Job. "The fall is stunning as the leaves are changing and the weather is perfect. Winter is ideal for an all-white proposal and our clients love enjoying world class skiing while on their trip."
But if weather isn't the most important factor for you, the next thing to take into account is your partner's preferences.
"My best piece of advice is to consider what your partner would like the most. An engagement is all about solidifying your commitment to each other and celebrating your love," explains Job. "I always recommend sitting down with your partner to find out their 'non-negotiables' for their proposal experience. Do they want the proposal indoor or outdoor? Public or private? Something simple or a grand gesture? These kinds of questions really help narrow down our clients' location options and help them feel confident in selecting the perfect proposal spot."
And if you want to travel to Utah specifically to propose, be sure to start the planning process well in advance.
"One of my best pieces of advice for destination planning is to give yourself enough time to plan," says Job. "After you have ordered and received the ring, give yourself at least one to three months to plan and book your proposal."
She notes that the fastest way to an unpleasant planning experience is to rush.
"Everyone wants a successful proposal and needs to keep in mind that when done thoughtfully and with enough time, it can be a very enjoyable and exciting experience!" adds Job. "This is a once in a lifetime event where both the proposer and proposee deserve to enjoy the moment together."
