Fitted and ruched styles are also very popular and we're seeing clean and modern styles take over—with simple, contemporary touches for a clean bridal party look," says Heather McReynolds, vice president and general merchandising manager at David's Bridal. Other trends McReynolds notes include '90s-influenced silhouettes, retro styles, neckline variations and cutouts.

Also, don't be afraid to play around with color, textures, and different fabrics, especially if you want to mix and match. The benefit of mismatched wedding party dresses? "It adds depth to your bridal party and allows your best gals the option to choose a dress that fits their body type and personality and still delivers a stunning cohesive look," explains McReynolds.
When to Order Bridesmaid Dresses for a Spring Wedding
To ensure your wedding party isn't scrambling last minute, aim to buy your spring bridesmaid dresses at least six months in advance—so between September and December is a safe bet for spring weddings. "We recommend giving yourself plenty of lead time. While we have hundreds of styles in stock and ready to ship, it's best to always give yourself a buffer," says McReynolds.
For example, David's Bridal has a "Guaranteed In Stock" collection of their most popular styles and colors that are always available and ready to ship. But some designer bridesmaid gowns can take up to two to three months to arrive and off-the-rack styles still need to be fitted. "We also recommend allowing for about six to eight weeks for any alterations needed," she adds.
