These Penguins Led a Wedding Procession and Stole the Show

A UK couple took their wedding march to the next level and incorporated two penguins in their procession. Just before bride Tracy Winterton made her ceremony entrance, a dapper penguin pair waddled down the aisle side by side, charming wedding guests left and right.

The rescued Humboldt penguins followed their owner, the bride's friend and local private zoo owner, who coaxed them along the way with their favorite snack—fish. In the event that one penguin got stage fright, a third was on hand for the ceremony, but all went swimmingly.

Since these penguins were rescued and have grown up in captivity, being among humans (at a wedding, for example) is no big deal for them.

"It is different from animals [that] have been rescued from the wild," the bride told The Daily Mail. "They don't know any different and they quite like human contact." After the ceremony, the penguins posed for photos with the rest of the wedding party, and enjoyed, according to Winterton, "having their heads cuddled and stomachs stroked."

These feathered friends weren't the only lucky animals to join the wedding party—the couple also enlisted three dogs, making for an unforgettable ceremony and reception full of energy, excitement and happy feet.
