Conner suggests that summer and fall are the best months to capture Maine at its peak. She adds, "If you are trying to keep the crowds away, autumn and spring."

Cadillac Mountain
If you want to propose in the great outdoors, make your way to Maine's acclaimed national park. "Especially at sunrise as it is the first place in the U.S. to see the sun!"
Acadia National Park
Want to find another incredible spot within the national park to propose? "Acadia as a whole has so many beautiful and unique backdrops it is hard not to find an impressive location [like] Thunder Hole, Otter Cliffs or Jordan Pond," shares Conner.
Terramore Outdoor Resort
Located in Bar Harbour, known as the "gateway" to Acadia National Park, Terramore Outdoor Resort is a glamping hotel that provides visitors an elevated experience in the woods. We think it would be so romantic to pop the question here on the porch of your tent after a day of adventuring.

Head out to Rangeley Lake in Western Maine for a beautiful proposal by the water and autumnal hues. Mountain Star Estates is an event venue with lodging that can allow you to follow the proposal with a festive engagement party.

Pair your proposal along the marina with a stay at The Press Hotel, a Autograph Collection retreat that offers a modern interior with a storied history as the former headquarters of the Portland Press Herald newspaper.
