"If you are looking for gorgeous architecture and gardens, Van Vleck House has so much to offer for romantic portraits," says Schifilliti of The Montclair Foundation venue. "Try to time it so the wisteria and other flowers are in bloom."

Willow Creek Farm & Winery

Schifilliti recommends shooting photos all around the coastal town of Cape May. "Consider starting at Willow Creek Winery and ending your session on the beach," she says.

Barnegat Lighthouse State Park

For a coastal proposal on Long Beach Island, consider Barnegat Lighthouse State Park. "Along with many great paths to explore, the beach and jetty are stunning with the red and white lighthouse in the distance," shares Schifilliti.

"This town is the start of a lot of my client's love stories. Walk along the waterfront and stroll the beautiful uptown streets filled with brownstone homes," suggests Schifilliti. "End your session at your favorite restaurant with an espresso martini!"

"Rows of grapes during golden hour is always a great idea," says Schifilliti of a proposal at Laurita Winery. "Pair this location with popping a bottle of champagne and having a picnic moment."

Princeton University

Princeton grads might consider returning to their alma mater for a nostalgic proposal. "The architecture at Princeton University is absolutely stunning," notes Schifilliti. "I always love finding cherry blossoms here in the springtime. Each courtyard and area is more beautiful than the next."
