Adventure Aquarium

1 Riverside Drive, Camden

(856) 365-3300; AdventureAquarium.com

Have you always dreamed of saying "I do" in front of hundreds of rare species of fish? How about a reception with 20 sharks? If you answered yes to either question, Adventure Aquarium is for you. Formerly known as the New Jersey State Aquarium, this Camden spot (located just two miles from downtown Philly) is perfect for couples looking to take the plunge. The Currents ballroom allows access to the 550,000-gallon Shark Realm exhibit, which holds the largest collection of shark species on the East Coast. If that's not enough of a view for you, you'll be pleased to know it also offers views of the Philadelphia skyline.

Congress Hall

200 Congress Place, Cape May

(609) 884-8421; CongressHall.com

Congress Hall is the definition of timeless beach chic—from its iconic yellow facade and a pool area overlooking the Grand Lawn to the Tiffany blue walls and black-and-white checkered floor of its grand ballroom, which holds 250. Catering is done in-house, and if you choose, you can host the entire weekend here. Think: an open air rehearsal dinner on the pool deck with full ocean views, some preceremony bridal-party pampering at the Sea Spa and a postwedding breakfast in The Blue Pig Tavern on the secluded outdoor patio.

Crystal Plaza

305 W. Northfield Road, Livingston

(973) 992-8100; CrystalPlaza.com

In a word, Crystal Plaza is rich, with its glamour, distinction and—as you can probably tell from its name—dazzling crystal details. Its classic ballroom (with space for 400 guests) has elaborate ornate ceilings, glittering crystal chandeliers and expansive arched windows, yet remains versatile enough to work with most color palettes. It even has a Juliet balcony (hello, Romeo!) for fun photo ops. Bonus: A caterer is included with the rental, so you can cross that off your to-do list.

Grand Arcade

1300 Ocean Ave., Asbury Park

(732) 897-6500; APBoardwalk.com

Treat a minimum of 300 of your closest friends and family members to a night of dinner and dancing at a Jersey Shore icon. The Grand Arcade, which sits on Asbury Park's famed boardwalk, connects two historic landmarks: the Convention Hall and Paramount Theatre. The 13,800-square-foot old-world space has a jaw-dropping capacity of 900, making it ideal for big fat weddings and rock shows alike. The cavernous event venue has soaring ceilings for stellar acoustics.

Grand Marquis

1550 US 9, Old Bridge

(732) 679-5700; GrandMarquisCaterers.com

Talk about a ballroom! The crown jewel of the Dome Room at the Grand Marquis (which accommodates 250 guests) is its incredible glass-dome ceiling and the circular dance floor. There's also an adjoining space perfect for a cocktail hour or a swanky lounge area.

The Madison Hotel

1 Convent Road, Morristown

(973) 285-1800; TheMadisonHotel.com

(Pictured above) Imagine an affair with all the benefits of the outdoors—sunlight, stars, trees—without the threat of rain. Bring the outside in with a garden ceremony at The Madison Hotel's Conservatory, a truly one-of-a-kind space. After a photo shoot on the property's beautiful grounds, meet your 300-plus guests in the 4,000-square-foot Glynallyn Ballroom complete with 14-foot ceilings, antique crystal and gold Baccarat chandeliers and rich damask wallpaper.

Maritime Parc

84 Audrey Zapp Drive, Jersey City

(201) 413-0050; MaritimeParc.com

What sets Maritime Parc apart from the other venues on this list is its simplicity. After all, sometimes the best canvas is a blank one. We're partial to the third-floor Aviary, which has crisp white walls, a 360-degree wraparound terrace, a unique vaulted wood ceiling and unparalleled views of the Hudson River and lower Manhattan.

One Atlantic

1 Atlantic Ocean, Atlantic City

(609) 343-9902; OneAtlanticEvents.com

Perched atop The Pier Shops at Caesars, One Atlantic stretches 100 yards out over the Atlantic Ocean. The event space is wrapped in floor-to-ceiling windows, which means stunning sights from just about everywhere. Exchange vows to the sound of waves out on the terrace, take in the sunset over cocktails in the lobby, and then host a sit-down dinner for up to 425 in the elegant Atlantic Room.

Pleasantdale Chateau

757 Eagle Rock Ave., West Orange

(973) 731-5600; Pleasantdale.com

The historic Pleasantdale Chateau is perched on 40 acres of rolling meadows and gardens. After a ceremony outside, usher your guests indoors for dinner in the circular ballroom. Featuring a tall domed ceiling with a skylight, wrought-iron chandeliers and arched windows, this dramatic space exudes romance and grandeur. Plus, there's a whole team available to help bring your vision to life!

The Venetian

546 River Drive, Garfield

(973) 546-2250; VenetianNJ.com

If you want to feel like royalty on your wedding day, The Venetian is a must. Guests are greeted with champagne garnished with edible flowers upon arrival before moving into the opulent Palazzo for dinner and dancing. Fun fact: Jersey Shore star Snooki's wedding was held here.
