With countryside charm and prairie views, it's hard not to fall for barn wedding venues in Nebraska. They retain all the authentic elements, like exposed beams and vintage chandeliers, balanced with modern amenities like air conditioning for a comfortable wedding. That doesn't mean you shouldn't keep the weather in mind, though, especially if you want your ceremony outside the barn. Nebraska has the typical cold winters and humid summers and there's always tornado season in the spring. But combining the ceremony and reception in the barn together sounds like a pretty awesome Plan B to us. You'll want to tick off other things on your venue checklist too, like location and seating layouts. Put together a list of questions to ask as well.

From farms to gardens, we've found some of the most sought-after barn wedding venues in Nebraska.

Venues at the Granary in Omaha, Nebraska

For something luxe and contemporary with historical roots, Venues at the Granary will do. A 20th-century industrial granary, this barn wedding venue in Omaha, NE, features original woodwork and beaming plus vintage chandeliers, with modern features like an LED big screen. There are two rooms for you to choose from for your ceremony and reception, depending on the size of your guest list: the smaller Crown Room and the larger Corbel Room. There's also an outdoor balcony, just waiting for cocktail hour.

  • Guest Capacity: 300 to 500 for the Corbel Room; 175 to 300 for the Crown Room

It has not one, but two barn wedding venues in the Lincoln, NE, area. The Pioneer Event Barn is a warm wood barn featuring handcrafted Amish glass barn doors and a 2,500-square-foot wraparound patio with a fireplace. The Creekside Barn, a century-old barn sitting among majestic oak trees and firepits, is set to open the doors to its vaulted ceilings and 3,100-square-foot deck overlooking a creek in 2025.

  • Guest Capacity: 250 in the Pioneer Event Barn, 400 in The Creekside Barn

Sparks Barn in Louisville, Nebraska

Sparks Barn is full of bucolic charm with modern touches, renovated to include WiFi, air control and a sound system plus sleek concrete floors. It also boasts a dazzling, elegant chandelier with industrial undertones. The barn wedding venue in Nebraska can hold up to 350 people at its long banquet tables, which you can lay out to your liking.

But we're partial to its historic barn, which you can get to via a walking trail from the lodge. It's a classic barn with soaring rafters, which seem even more magical when dressed up with white gauzy linens, string lighting and sparkling chandeliers. And since this barn wedding venue in Nebraska is on such a large and luxurious property, there are plenty of guest rooms on-site.

The former is an industrial-style ballroom, but the latter is where you'll find your dream barn wedding venue. It's a red barn sitting on a 10-acre farm, accompanied by Mother Nature and a century-old farmhouse to stay at with your wedding party. It's been restored to carry out the industrial theme, boasting a majestic chandelier dangling from the original rafter pulley system. The rental package includes on-site bartenders and an event host, plus a pergola, custom-made wood tables and benches and banquet chairs.

Lilac Hill in Louisville, Nebraska

Lush forests, lilac bushes and wildflower-blanketed grounds surround Lilac Hill for a fairytale-like setting. We think this barn wedding venue in Nebraska is the dreamiest in the spring, but any season will do. There's an older barn peeking through the trees, an idyllic spot for a wedding photo shoot. But you'll celebrate at the bigger newly constructed barn stretching 6,480 square feet to hold 250 people plus two getting-ready rooms for the newlyweds. White walls and light wood beams lend it a bright and airy feel, a departure from the more moody and rustic barns.
