Cassie Allinger, the senior vice president of marketing at Walters Wedding Estates explains: "Mansion venues often look like private estates, but many are purpose-built event venues designed for celebrations. What surprises people is that, behind the architecture and grand setting, these properties are typically fully equipped with experienced teams and spaces intentionally designed for ceremonies, receptions and the flow of a full wedding day."
But even though you can get a mansion rental for your wedding, you might be wondering if you should. Alex Larson, a venue specialist at Walters Wedding Estates, says there are numerous reasons to book one: "The biggest thing is the feeling it creates for you and your guests. Every room, corner and staircase becomes a photo opportunity without even trying. On top of that, most estate-style venues have multiple spaces on one property, so your ceremony, cocktail hour and reception flow together seamlessly. No shuttling guests across town and no awkward gaps—just one beautiful, cohesive experience from start to finish."

You probably have sticker shock seeing those numbers, but Larson says that's typical for extravagant venues. "Mansion venue rates shift based on the property, the season, the day of the week and your guest count. We've quoted packages for mansion weddings anywhere from $15,000–$100,000, it really depends on your unique needs and desires," she adds.

For those having a large celebration, Eldredge Manor can hold up to 350 people for a flow-pattern reception and 94 guests for a seated dinner.
