On your big day at Fairmont Copley Plaza, you'll feel like you're in a holiday movie before your wedding flowers, candles and other decor are even on-site—that's how stunning the venue's event spaces are. Large weddings take place in the Grand Ballroom, which features crystal chandeliers and a 30-foot gilded ceiling. Intimate events can be held in the smaller (but not lacking in any way) Venetian Room.

Castle Farms in Charlevoix, Michigan

One look at Michigan's Castle Farms in the wintertime will make it apparent why the wedding venue is a stellar place for a special day at Christmas. The romantic venue has courtyard chapels, formal gardens, towers and stone archways and its winter event spaces include the King's Great Hall and King's Indoor Chapel, the East Garden Room and King's Gallery, and the West Garden Room and King's Gallery. The most popular for a wedding reception is the King's Great Hall, and highlights of the room include chandeliers, 14-foot cathedral windows and stone walls. Exchange nuptials amid snowflakes on the Sky View Deck during your ceremony and then host your indoor reception in the Mountain View Ballroom.

Log Haven Restaurant in Salt Lake City, Utah

In a log mansion in the Wasatch National Forest, you'll find Salt Lake City's Log Haven Restaurant. The restaurant has received countless accolades—including being named one of America's Most Scenic Restaurants by Forbes—and it boasts a nationally acclaimed chef and full-service wedding planners. The "all-in-one" venue has 54 cabin-themed rooms and suites, and you can rent it out in its entirety for an exclusive rustic wedding during the holiday season. When it's cold out, Whitefish Lodge transforms into a winter wedding venue, offering wedding ceremonies inside the lobby. Receptions take place in the 4,500-square-foot banquet room. With two stone fireplaces, large windows and a built-in dance floor, the banquet room is a charming blank space ready to be enhanced by Christmas-themed wedding decor. Setup and teardown are included in all wedding packages, and additional amenities for your stay include an indoor pool, an arcade and complimentary breakfast.

Lake Bomoseen Lodge in Bomoseen, Vermont

You may align lake wedding venues with warmer months, but don't count them out for winter weddings—especially at Vermont's Lake Bomoseen Lodge. The recently renovated lodge is home to rooms, condos, cottages, the on-site two-story Taproom restaurant and the Loft, an event space located on the Taproom's third floor. The 3,200-square-foot all-wood Loft is an empty canvas in which to dream up your Christmastime event. Embellish the space with seasonal greenery, holiday colors, twinkling lights or whatever else signals Christmas in your mind. The venue offers on-site catering and several bar package options, including a fixed-rate bar, a consumption-based bar, a beer-and-wine bar, a cash bar or dinner wine service.

The Crystal Tea Room in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Crystal Tea Room is a gorgeous Philadelphia wedding venue located nine floors in the sky inside a historic building. It's superb for a holiday wedding in the city for many reasons, with the main reason being you and your loved ones can escape the cold while letting both the season and the venue serve as your wedding inspiration. Interior features of the Crystal Tea Room include a glass atrium used for cocktail hours, plus carved columns, intricate ceilings and crystal chandeliers inside the Crystal Tea Room itself. The venue has a 150-person minimum and maxes out at 1,200. It is operated by Finley Catering, a company that has been executing high-end Philadelphia events for 45 years.

Graduate Providence in Providence, Rhode Island

Rhode Island's Graduate Providence, formerly known as the Providence Biltmore, is a landmark hotel in downtown Providence. Each event space inside Graduate Providence is feels royal, making it perfect for an elegant Christmas wedding. The Capital Ballroom has been restored to its original glory, accommodating 150 guests or more. On the 17th floor, the Biltmore Ballroom offers panoramic city views and caps out at 250 guests. An added benefit of hosting your winter wedding at Graduate Providence is that your guests won't have to travel outdoors to get to your special day—with 294 guest rooms, your entire guest list can stay on-site.

The Timberlodge at Arrowhead in Akron, New York

The Timberlodge at Arrowhead on Arrowhead Golf Club is another great option for a rustic winter wedding in the Northeast. Located in Akron, New York, the banquet facility is show-stopping; it features a timber frame post-and-beam dining area that will stand out in wedding photos, as well as mission-style decor. Add your choice of seasonal greenery and holiday decorations to the space to create your version of a winter wonderland wedding. The venue hosts one event at a time, so the focus will be on you and your spouse-to-be on your big day. The Timberlodge staff will assist with planning, setup and teardown, and you can work with the catering and bar team to create a custom food-and-beverage menu that suits your tastes.

The Refuge Golf Club in Oak Grove, Minnesota

The Refuge Golf Club is a Minnesota favorite for golfing, lodging and events. During the holiday season, hold your wedding ceremony and reception at the clubhouse. In tune with Christmastime, your ceremony will take place near an indoor fireplace. For your reception, the clubhouse has a covered patio, a full-service banquet kitchen and bar, a large dance floor, tables, chairs, table linens and more. It may be cold outside—and potentially snowy—but like many other Refuge Golf Club couples, you can head outdoors for next-level wedding party photos. The Stan Mansion in Chicago, Illinois

If it isn't clear thus far, we think city venues are excellent for Christmas weddings. Accordingly, our next highlight is the woman-owned Stan Mansion in Chicago. Here, in the city's historic district, you can throw the ultimate celebration and bring your Christmas wedding ideas to life amid the building's historic details. (It was originally a Masonic lodge.) Upon entry, guests will delight in the marble lobby. Also on the first floor is the Lower Level Ballroom, which serves as a versatile ceremony space. Alternatively, you can host your ceremony on the Royal Stage inside the Grand Ballroom on the second floor. The Grand Ballroom will be the setting of your reception, with room for up to 300 guests for a sit-down event and 400 for a cocktail event.

The Athletic Club of Columbus in Columbus, Ohio

An icon in its city, the Athletic Club of Columbus is a five-star Platinum Club with nine beautiful wedding facilities. You and up to 350 guests will delight in the Athletic Club's many ornate details; these details will make event designing easy because of how grand each space feels as is. If you're not sold on the venue's aesthetics, you'll be convinced by the Events Team's dedication to making your wedding "one of the most special and joyous occasions of your lifetime." Rosecliff in Newport, Rhode Island

Last on our Christmas list is Rhode Island's Rosecliff. Rosecliff is a historic oceanside mansion dating back to 1902, when it was completed by architect Stanford White. It was modeled after the Grand Trianon, "the garden retreat of French kings at Versailles," so it's clear this place was—and is—special. When it comes to weddings, Rosecliff is home to Newport's largest private ballroom and a heart-shaped staircase. Seated dinners with a dance floor in the ballroom cap out at 180 guests, and the venue has four Caterers of Choice to choose from for your event.
